1960

Paul Roybal started repairing transmissions at his Texaco Service Station on Cerrillos Road in Santa Fe, New Mexico. That is where he created a strong following of customers who knew he had the knowledge and honesty to keep their cars in the best running condition.

1980
The transmission business had taken over selling gas for Paul, and that is why he needed to branch out and open his own specialty shop for transmissions.
1981
Paul's Transmissions Specialists opened its doors to a warm welcome. With five full service bays and an adequate rebuilding room, Paul could focus on what mattered to him most: keeping his customers on the road.
1982
Paul's oldest son Paul Jr. started learning the trade. Paul Sr.'s wife Yolanda started with them in 1983 and then the youngest son, Leonard joined the team in 1985. Paul Sr.'s brother Joe was also with him since the original Texaco Service Station. This was truly a family business.
1991
Paul Roybal Sr. passed away, but left a strong legacy with his sons that is still with them today: to give quality service at an honest price.
2001

Paul and Leonard Roybal are the now the owners of Precision Transmission, Inc. The only real change in the business is the name. Our commitment to our customer service is the same today as it was to our father in 1960 when he first started in the transmission business.  We welcome your call!
