Paul
Roybal started repairing transmissions at his Texaco Service Station on
Cerrillos Road in Santa Fe, New Mexico. That is where he created a strong
following of customers who knew he had the knowledge and honesty to keep
their cars in the best running condition.

The transmission business had taken over selling gas for Paul, and that
is why he needed to branch out and open his own specialty shop for transmissions.

Paul's
Transmissions Specialists opened its doors to a warm welcome. With
five full service bays and an adequate rebuilding room, Paul could focus
on what mattered to him most: keeping his customers on the road.

Paul's
oldest son Paul Jr. started learning the trade. Paul Sr.'s wife Yolanda
started with them in 1983 and then the youngest son, Leonard joined the
team in 1985. Paul Sr.'s brother Joe was also with him since the original
Texaco Service Station. This was truly a family business.
